Animation: Production Company ID
Three of Change
One of the fantastic clients I am pleased to work with regularly is the Washington DC design firm, Three of Change. This latest call from them was for my take on a treatment of their own logo.
The interesting thing about this company is that under their professional broadcast appeal, is a hard core of PUNK ROCK.

Title Design/ Animation: Television Show
Three of Change/ Discovery Science Channel
This was a quick job for a new show described to me as an 'anxiety' version of 'hoarders'. Sounds compelling.
This was a super-fast turnaround and they knew exactly what they wanted for the title: a less-is-more concept of white on black. Focusing on the idea that it would be hand made and rough, instead of using a font, the text was hand written. It was important to me to get a lot of texture out of the type, because it would be the only visible element on the screen. For that I drew all of the letters, and many variations of which, on paper towels. Making sure to make the marks slowly, the ink bled very well.

Webcast Air Date
Special FX/ Visual FX/ Animation
Each season, the CBS television show Ghost Whisperer also webcasts a companion series called 'The Other Side'. This fourth season of the online series has brought me on board to handle not only all the digital Visual Effects, but the on-set in-camera Special Effects as well.
It's a very fun job and the series has already begun! Check out new episodes, every Friday at: www.cbs.com/gmcghost
Keep tuned in here to the ATOMIC ROCKET for future updates highlighting new examples of the work done on the episodes as they air.

Painting Diptych
"Tales of the Black Russian" + "Tales of the White Russian"
About a full year ago I had an idea for a series of paintings for my 7-Hells body of horror work. A very, very large series. Not large is size, maybe, but large in number.
The issues at the time were: 1) I never painted before 2) the concept would take a lot of custom fabrication after painting and 3) it was obvious that this could quickly become a very expensive experiment.

Title Design/ Animation: Feature Film
Audience Alliance
Back in 2008, Spain created their own animated treasure: the feature film "Cher Ami... ¡y yo!". It is based off of the true story of a carrier pigeon, Cher Ami, who successfully delivered a crucial message that helped save the lives of a number of troops.
Well, now that movie is coming to the good old U S of A and is being repackaged with a new title and a new title sequence and I'm in charge of the latter.
