Title Design/ Special Effects: Film
Chrysler/ Hypnotic
When Kevin Burke made the top 10 finals in the Chrysler Million Dollar Film Competition, he needed to make a short film in just 10 days.
It was a simultaneous competition among all the finalists, in New York City, so when he hired his crew, he brought me on as editor specifically because I had the added cache of being a designer and special effects person.

In-N-Out Burger
For BTV's annual redesign, they decided to go a live-action route. Asking me back, it was more for a heavy special effects component for the title sequence and an associated package design for broadcast and print.
The concept was to have a scientist performing experiments on a red ball in a case, trying to stimulate it with flash cards or what have you. Of course nothing works until he brings in In-N-Out Burger for lunch. Then the ball goes APE SHIT, escapes and goes on the search for an In-N-Out Burger store of it's own.
BTV 2003 WWYD? Set

Title Design/ Production Design/ Miniature Construction: Industrial Video
In-N-Out Burger
As part of the redesign of the Burger Television packaging, What Would You Do?, the BTV Game Show, went real world for 2003. We had an idea to make a classic game show set, so instead of trying to generate it on a computer, I sat down and created a hand made model to shoot.
It was put together in only a couple of days. I came up with a logo for the sign and a color scheme for the set. A crude illustration of the set was thrown together in the computer, and off I was to the craft store.
Harry Snyder Award 2001

Title Design: Live Event
In-N-Out Burger
In-N-Out Burger, has a tradition of service and smiling and all that stuff. But more importantly there is a tradition within In-N-Out Burger of recognizing this among it's associates.
Named after one of it's co-founders, the Harry Snyder Award is sort of a lifetime achievement award for INO associates. It's always a big surprise each year as to who is going to get it, and it's revealed at their annual Kickoff dinner, live.
An entire video is made about the winner and their relationship with the company and the Snyder family (which is pretty much synonymous since they are still the sole proprietors).

Design: Promotional Posters/ Postcards
The Search for Runaround Sue
To help get the word out and help promote my new short film, The Search for Runaround Sue, I finally got around to designing some posters and postcards.
The film takes place in 1962, and is an homage to the old pulp JV novels of the time. Also, as part of it's pastiche, it was filmed to look like it was actually made in 1962, so it was always my intention to make all the promotional materials in the same vein.
