Not only does it cover how to pleasure our senses, say through tastes, but also how technology may recognize what we like and how we may reign it in if we like things a bit too much and avoid addiction.
This particular episode dealt a lot with the brain, and so the diagrams reflect that. Most were pretty straight forward, and were a welcome change to the normal heavy science research I'm put to task to illustrate.

Let's blow some shit UP! Let's get into COMBAT! Actually, that never happens in this episode, because we're more about how cool the technology is than what a ball of fire can do to something.
We do have some pretty cool gun shots and machines that can drive over or through anything. And then a bunch of other things to help us protect our soldiers like super armor and invisibility camouflage.

This new episode of Popular Science Magazines, The Future of… is the future of Security. Very fascinating stuff, most of which deals with what will undoubtedly be the end of human civilization.
Seeing through walls, robotic flies, robotic balls. Identifying brain signatures, and the all encompassing favorite of almost every pop sci episode: facial recognition.

The 3rd episode of Popular Science Magazine's "The Future of..." rolled out this past monday, and it was all about sex.
The subject is a bit misleading because some of the tech we investigate is actually more about communicating and compatibility, but there is the perverse reality of people creating MECHANICAL WHORES.

Play is the name of the game in the second episode of Popular Science Magazine's 'The Future of..." on Discovery's Science Channel.
Creating and animating all of the special effects, props, animated diagrams, and cartoons, this particular episode covered all those bases. Play is a very visual concept, even when it's heavily conceptual, so there were a lot of hits and misses as we tried a variety of clips and styles to get the point across. Many graphics in this episode got chopped up or removed all together, so this is the only place you can find them all in their entirety.
