One of the fantastic clients I am pleased to work with regularly is the Washington DC design firm, Three of Change. This latest call from them was for my take on a treatment of their own logo.
The interesting thing about this company is that under their professional broadcast appeal, is a hard core of PUNK ROCK.
All the hard work was essentially done because they already have a logo and iconic imagery that goes with it. White. Black. Bars and Grates. A good blend of their design and punk rock sensibilities.
My take was to add some real-life action and texture to their logo. I took the image of the bars and flattened out the perspective, and essentially turned it into a window to look out of at some beautiful blue sky. Super 8 film style.
Hand-held, we walk backwards, away from the window and the moment we land at the perspective of the original photo, we freeze and the logo burns into the film. Some flickers. A flash. We're into the finished logo and all is well in the Universe. FINALLY.
