Design: Website
In-N-Out Burger
As you may have known since the official announcement back in May, everyone's cult-favorite Burger joint, In-N-Out Burger is expanding to Texas. For this big move, comes new steps in communication within the company, and for that reason I was called in lend a hand.
It's been YEARS since I was working in the In-N-Out world but I answered the call with a quick prototype design for a new Texas-centric internal website for all of their associates.
Bullied Title Sequence
Jul 20 2010

Title Design/ Visual FX: Documentary
The Southern Poverty Law Center/ Bill Brummel Productions
Bullied, is a documentary covering the true story of a kid in a small town in Wisconsin who endures years of bullying in school for being gay.
The title sequence went through a couple different incarnations over the length of the process. Luckily a lot of the back and forth was very limited because the Director, Bill Brummel, knew what he was looking for enough that it made a very clear target to hit, with a lot of creative room to push things.
Under The Corset: Rasputina Title Sequence
Jun 22 2010

Title Design/ Animation: Feature Documentary
Rasputina/ Dawn Micelli
Almost a year in the making! The first official documentary on the cello-driven goth band, Rasputina [ http://www.rasputina.com/ ] is coming out soon, and as part of the finishing touches, I was brought on to do the title sequence.
The movie was shot by Dawn Micelli, of the infamous Dawn and Drew Show [ http://dawnanddrew.com/ ], as a behind the scenes documentary while she went on tour with the band through 2009. As you can hear from the initial telephone call that was actually used in the title sequence, Dawn even pitched the idea with the title, 'Under the Corset' in mind.
'Through the Wormhole' Visual FX
Jun 10 2010

Illustration/ Design/ Visual FX/: Television Show
Incubator/ Revelations/ Science Channel
Here is the final installment of work I did on the Science Channel Mini-series, 'Through the Wormhole, with Morgan Freeman'. I've already updated storyboards and animated sequences.
This last body of work are Visual Effects I did, specifically for an episode on Dark Matter. It was mostly designing and compositing objects into live action, with a bit of diagram design thrown in as well.
'Through the Wormhole' Animated Sequences

Incubator/ Revelations/ Science Channel
Tonight is the premier of "Through the Wormhole, with Morgan Freeman", on the Science Channel. It is an 8 part series that focuses on the mysteries of the Universe and how we use science to investigate and attempt to answer them. For this series, my contributions were diverse, from live action Storyboards to Visual Effects.
A large part of the work I created were animated clips to help illustrate some of the scientific concepts. When I was originally brought in my first instinct was to go for an early 1960s modern animation style -- with a definite hand-drawn, traditionally character-animated look to it. These are scattered over a few different episodes of the series. Keep an eye out. Until then, you can see them all right here!
'Through the Wormhole' Storyboards

Story Board Illustration: Television Show
Incubator/ Revelations/ Science Channel
A new Science Channel miniseries is coming out soon called, "Through The Wormhole, with Morgan Freeman". Similar to the 1980 miniseries 'Cosmos', hosted by the inspirational astronomer Carl Sagan, each episode investigates the scientific mysteries of the Universe.
It is presented as a personal journey of Morgan Freeman's, which includes reenacted tales from his childhood. In the process of ironing out the style of the show as it was being assembled, the production company had me come in and draw storyboards for the first two reenactments so the editors and directors could experiment with the boards as footage before they went out to shoot.
Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side IV
Jun 01 2010

Animation/ Visual FX: Web Series
Ghost Whisperer/ CBS
Wanting to wait for all the episodes of the Fourth Season of Ghost Whisperer to end, I'm finally making an update featuring the Visual Effects I did for the show. This does not cover the practical, on-set special effects that I did, although some of those are seen here when they needed to be digitally manipulated.
All the work you find here was a part of the Ghost Whisperer webisode series, 'The Other Side IV', and can all be watched HERE.
